This is an anthology of books that were previously published separately. The title makes you think of St. Patrick’s Day but it’s the characters that are Irish, The stories do not revolve around the “holiday” so you can read this book any time of the year.
“The Sins of His Past” by Roxanne St. Claire (originally published in 2006)
Deuce Monroe is a man who can say he actually shook hands with Carl Yastrzemski. His story takes place in Rockingham, Massachusetts. Deuce ends up at a place called “monroe’s” but it’s not the place he remembers.
Kendra Locke is the sister of his friend Jackson and is the manager of “monroe’s”. Then Deuce gets the shock of his life. Deuce has come home because a change in employment. Coming home hurts the plans Kendra has for “monroe’s”.
Can an ex-baseball player and a manager of a cyber café work together? Or will past history get in their way? This conflict will keep you reading to find out if Kendra and Deuce will be able to settle their differences and work together to make “Monroe’s” successful.
Roxanne has made Deuce a real jerk that hasn’t got a clue. We’ll have to see if Kendra has a strong personality and can resist the bad boy charm. Roxanne has made Deuce the typical athletic bad boy. You’ll want to read this story to see if he can change his image. Roxanne is very descriptive so that you will have no trouble picturing everything in your mind.
“Tangling with Ty” by Jill Shalvis (originally published in 2003)
Dr. Nicole Mann is very dedicated to her work. Her friend, Taylor Wellington, also owns the building where Nicole lives. The building is very convenient to the hospital.
Nicole has a terrible memory about certain things. We see her coming home, after pulling a double shift, to find an Irish man in front of her apartment. His name is Ty Patrick O’Grady and he’s an architect. Ty is there to renovate the building and Nicole doesn’t like him – hmm!
You will not want to miss their first meeting. Mister architect is a “playa” – or so he thinks. This is a story that will have you laughing and you can almost hear Nicole say “why me?” They create a lot of heat when they are around each other.
Jill also adds in another doctor named Linc Watts. Lincoln is so full of himself – reminds me of the old soap operas. This story is also about patience. They will have to figure out when it’s time to settle down. Another good read from Jill Shalvis.
“Whatever Reilly Wants” by Maureen Child (previously published in 2005)
Liam Reilly is in a restaurant with his brothers Brian, Connor, and Aidan, having a beer together. Brian, Connor, and Aidan are triplets who have made a bet. Brian has failed so who will be next? And then what happens if they lose the bet.
Emma Jacobsen is a true “grease monkey”. She’s also the owner and manager of Jake’s Garage. Connor sees her as just one of the “guys” and not a woman. But she goes out of her way to show that she’s all woman.
Maureen writes one hot sex scene between Emma and Connor. You must read the rest of the story to see if they take the final plunge. This is different from some other romances that I have read but ends the way all good romances do.
You will want to add this anthology to your collection. If you are going to order these books, you may want the Kindle/Nook collection so that you have an easier way of storing all your books that are going to start piling up.
